VIVA LA VIE! coming from Koch Media in January

Claude Lelouch's 1984 thriller VIVA LA VIE! starring Charlotte Rampling and Jean-Louis Trintignant has been announced by Koch Media for DVD release on January 29, 2010.

THE VISITOR news from Code Red

Giulio Paradisi's 1979 science fiction thriller STRIDULUM aka The Visitor was announced in 2007 by Code Red. Since then nothing happened, but according to the latest info all the extras, including an audio commentary with actress Joanne Nail, have been finished and Code Red promise that the DVD will be out before summer 2010. As previously mentioned, their version will be the longest ever - about 17 minutes longer than the US version and 8 minutes longer than the UK version. Worth waiting for...

Nunsploitation from Cult Epics in March 2010

Cult Epics have announced the release of Walerian Borowczyk's Interno di un convento aka Behind Convent Walls (1978) on March 30, 2010. It will also be part of a box set called Nunsploitation Convent Collection together with their previously released Sei ju gakuen aka School of the Holy Beast, directed by Norifumi Suzuki in 1974. The box set will also contain the documentary The History of Nunsploitation.

An aircraft to Isfahan brings eight passengers from different parts of the world. Each, unknown to the others, is bound to the same destination. Waiting for them at the airport are two servants, hired by an agency in Geneva to organise a house party, hosted by the mysterious Mr Owen. The passengers arrive and the mystery depens. At dinner the chair at the head of the table, reserved for Mr Owen is vacant. After dinner a voice on a tape recorder names each of the guests, including the servants and accuses them all of having committed a murder. With no way to escape the guests set out to find their mysterious host. But one by one the guests are killed off suggesting only that the killer is likely to be among them.
