September 29 R1 releases covers and synopsis

One of the great taboo-smashers of the late '60s,directed by Tinto Brass, featuring interracial affairs, anti-Vietnam statements, violence versus sex. Attraction (Nerosubianco) will stun anyone expecting a standard softcore European sex flick as released originally in the US as The Artful Penetration of Barbara. Brace yourself for a whirlwind trip with a married woman (Anita Sanders) whose journey awakens her to the carnal offerings of an African-American man (Terry Carter), all set to by a searing soundtrack by Freedom, a tripped-out group formed from the remnants of Procol Harum.

A Hammer Horror-style thriller recreating the story of the (in)famous Irish body snatchers, Burke and Hare. In the early 1800s, the supply of corpses used for medical research were limited to those of executed criminals, leaving a great demand from medical schools. When a resident in Burke and Hare's boarding house dies, they recognize the business potential in grave-robbing. Demand for dead bodies grows so high, they start speeding up the death process on their victims! However, suspicions arise when they murder a man seen earlier that day...

Based on the play They Walk Alone by Max Catto, Daughter of Darkness (1948) is an atmospheric Gothic chiller following an Irish maid with an irresistible attraction to men. With the reputation as a temptress where even the local priest is attracted to her, she is forced to leave for England. Sexual desire soon descends into psychopathy, as she lures a carnival boxer and other men in her new town, whose desire for her results in their brutal downfall.

A young girl, Helga (Rosalba Neri), with two girlfriends goes to the Hornbergs' castle, a sixteenth century mansion which, according to popular belief, is the devil's dwelling. During the visit she comes across a portrait of a woman who looks much like her. The girls ask for hospitality to the sinister mansion's guardian, and during the night Helga dreams and lives the horrible events that happened to her many centuries before, when she became the demon's lover…

Cult director Sergio Martino, during the most glorious mondo years, delivered Naked and Violent, a documentary which unveils the brutality of the USA. Hidden behind a mask of perfection and justice, Naked and Violent traces the problems of American society in the 70s: from racial persecutions to the depraved sexual habits of the middle class, from the drug market to illegal gambling. Available for the first time ever in DVD, Naked and Violent is presented full and uncut.

Linda (Gioia Scola) and her lover Carlo (David Brandon) committed a horrible crime: eight years ago they murdered the woman's husband, while she was pregnant with his son. They hid the corpse and since then they are running a small hotel near a popular fishing lake. One rainy night a drifter named Marco (Urbano Barberini) arrives to the hotel, but he seems to know too many details about Linda's dead husband.
